Beschreibung

Pregnancy represents a serious challenge to all body systems. The progressive physiological changes that occur during pregnancy are essential to support and protect the developing fetus and to prepare the mother for parturition. Initially, frequent routine visits were the norm and women were classified by risk category to determine their chances of complications. Therefore, women should be the focus of maternity care with an emphasis on providing choice, easy access and continuity of care. Comparison between pregnant women's expectation and the actual care is important for several reasons;firstly, satisfied clients are more likely to maintain a consistent relationship with a specific provider. Secondly, By identifying sources of client's dissatisfaction, an organization can address system weaknesses, thus improving its risk management. satisfied clients are more likely to follow specific medical regimens and treatment plans. Finally client's satisfaction measurement adds important information on system performance, thus contributing to the organizations total quality management.
