Beschreibung

Strategy implementation is the act of bringing a strategy into action. It is vital because its success or failure has a great influence on the success and sustainability of the organization. It involves the use of organization available resources and working with people to achieve organization targets. However, the success of strategy implementation is not always guaranteed because it has recorded low success rates in most organizations. The objectives of this study were to identify the challenges faced by the NSSF in strategy implementation, and to suggest strategies which the NSSF can employ to cope with these challenges. The study used case study design where primary data was obtained using interview guides. Qualitative analysis was used to analyse data from interview guides to come up with findings, discussion, conclusions and recommendations. The results indicated that external factors such as government laws, economic downturn and high interest rates negatively influence strategy implementation at the NSSF in Uganda. Other factors which have a negative influence on strategy implementation include: unwilling employees, poor communication, industry factors and time management.
